From Monmouth follow the A466 Wye Valley road to

Bigsweir bridge. Just prior to the bridge turn left on a hairpin

bend towards St. Briavels. Follow the road through the

village eventually meeting the "T" junction with the B4228

Coleford to Chepstow Road. Turn right and after about

half a mile take a right turn signposted for St. Briavels

Common. Follow this lane ignoring turn offs until you reach

a telephone kiosk just beyond which is a sign for Hudnalls

Loop Road. Bear right here and drive for about a mile

passing several houses including The Cherries, and after

Birchfield House take the right hand fork. Follow the road

to a sharp right hand bend with Woodroyd Cottage in front

of you and take the lane straight ahead to Tyersall.
